INSTANT OPERA is a London based five star community opera company.
Just eight years old, we first fully-staged three of Mozart's operatic masterpieces; Le Nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni and Cosi fan tutte, with full orchestra, sung in Italian (with English surtitles), to delighted audiences. We received a five star review for our sensationally original production of Don Giovanni. Our production, prior to lock-down, was Puccini's La bohème which we were finally able to revive in 2022 along with introducing our latest and biggest ever new production Lucia di Lammermoor. In 2023 we staged our new La Traviata more great reviews.
As well as full productions, we put on Grand Opera Galas and School Workshop Days with narrated opera experiences for children, again resulting in rave reviews from teachers and parents. We also offer outreach experiences and work with diverse communities, including the local London Korean Choral Society.
Our mission is to produce innovative, fully staged operas and gala concerts to the highest possible standard with full orchestra to deliver a profoundly immersive experience. We believe opera should be accessible to all and currently operate as a 'not-for-profit' community based enterprise. We welcome anyone interested to support, or work with us, in any way. Please see our contact page for further details.
In 2021 we were honoured to welcome the eminent international conductor Michael Rosewell as our patron. In 2024-25 we announced a 'Puccini 100 Festival' which included his final epic Turandot in March 2025 which received a 4.5 star review, then restaged at Kingston University's Town House in October to another 5 star review. In 2026 our 10th anniversary year we are thrilled to annouce our biggest production Verdi's AIDA.
