Oliver is a conductor and repetiteur praised by The Times for 'ambitious, intelligent programming'. He has conducted at festivals including Tête à Tête and Grimeborn, with productions including La bohemeDon Giovanni, Die Zauberflöte, The Marriage of Figaro, Cosi fan tutte, The Cunning Little Vixen, and Il combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda.

Recent conducting highlights include two performances of Brahms’s A German Requiem, the UK premiere of CPE Bach's St John Passion (1772), and assisting Gergely Madaras at the BBC Symphony Orchestra. Upcoming projects include concerts with Barnet Symphony Orchestra, London Medical Orchestra, The Asyla Ensemble along with a gala concert and revival production with Instant Opera.
